I reach for the well-worn tool over the interesting one. You want something that still runs in three years without me.
I don't vanish at launch
Things break, requirements shift, someone needs a report nobody asked for in month one. You want a person who answers.
About Scott and Welzware.
Welzware is my independent software studio in the Pacific Northwest. Most of my work is for small teams, and a good chunk of it has ended up being restaurant software. Restaurants are a demanding place to ship: if a screen is confusing, someone finds out immediately, in the middle of a rush.
I care about the parts people usually skip: empty states, button labels, edge cases, load times, and whether the tool still makes sense when someone is busy.
